Harbert Management Corp. (HMC) has announced Travis Pritchett, HMC president and COO, will assume the role of CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2026. As part of this planned transition, Raymond J. Harbert, who founded HMC in 1993, will transition to the role of executive chairman, where he will step back from day-to-day management responsibilities and work closely with Pritchett to guide the firm’s long-term strategic direction.
Since joining HMC in 2005, Pritchett has played a central role in shaping the firm’s growth and modernization. He began his career at HMC on the U.S. real estate team prior to taking over the real assets platform in 2018. During this time, he opened and led HMC’s Dallas office, launched the firm’s first sector-specific real estate platform, Seniors Housing, and led the acquisition of South Bay, a vertically integrated senior housing developer.
