Bob Sessa, head of real assets at the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS), announced plans to retire after more than 25 years with the pension fund, according to a LinkedIn post. He joined ERS in January 1999 and has since held senior leadership roles in real estate. Earlier in his career, Sessa served as a senior associate at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) from 1991 to 1997.
In his announcement, Sessa wrote: “I’m grateful for the trust and support of the ERS Board, the Executive Office, and the many CIOs I’ve worked with over my time here. I’m proud of the opportunity I was given to lead the real assets program and especially proud of building out the real estate asset class.
