Vantage Data Centers has entered into the Nevada market with a 224-megawatt campus (NV1) in Storey County just outside of Reno. Nearly $3 billion will be invested in the project, with more than 1,200 individuals employed across the construction and ongoing operations of the campus. Entry into Vantage’s eighth North American market signals the company’s pursuit of strategic opportunities outside of Tier I locations as it joins major technology juggernauts Google, Apple and Microsoft in the growing region.
Sited on nearly 137 acres, the campus will include four multi-story data centers totaling more than 1 million square feet. The first two buildings are fully leased, with the first building scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2026.
Designed to meet the unique needs of AI deployments, NV1 will support densities ranging from 360 watts to more than 720 watts per square foot. The campus will have the flexibility to support traditional air-cooled compute loads as
