Amundi has appointed Philippe d’Orgeval as deputy group CIO. He joined the firm in December 2020 as CEO of Amundi in the United Kingdom.
d’Orgeval began his career at Rothschild Gestion in 1995 as a portfolio manager and buy-side analyst for four years before joining Pargesa in 1999 as a portfolio manager and analyst.
In 2001, he joined AXA Investment Managers as head of fund research and was appointed CIO of AXA Multimanager in London in 2003. In 2006, he joined the global risk department and became chief risk officer in 2010. d’Orgeval was promoted to head of AXA IM U.K. in 2016.
d’Orgeval holds postgraduate degrees in finance and economics from ESSEC and the University of Orléans, respectively. He has a master’s degree in finance from the University of Paris IX Dauphine and is a CFA charterholder.
