Skanska divests Citygate in Sweden for $238m

Skanska Commercial Development Nordic, a division of the construction and development company Skanska, has sold a property called Citygate in Gothenburg, Sweden, for approximately SEK 2.5 billion ($238 million).

The buyer is an internal portfolio within Skanska. The transfer will take place immediately.

Citygate, with its 36 floors and 144 meters (472 feet), was developed and built by Skanska and was completed in the fall of 2022. The building has a total lettable area of approximately 43,000 square meters (462,848 square feet). Tenants include WSP, Manpower, Sector Alarm, Visma, Flodéns, Verahill, Parttrap, Castra , Knightec and Skanska. In total, approximately 80 percent of the premises are let.

Citygate is certified according to both WELL and LEED’s highest level, Platinum. The house is 100 percent powered with local renewable electricity from a solar-cell park.
