U.K. property developer Weston Homes has exchanged contracts to acquire a 10.36-acre site in Thornwood village in Epping, England, for a new £33.5 million ($42 million) Thornwood Park residential development scheme.
Thornwood Park will consist of 62 new two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom family homes, including 40 percent on-site affordable housing. The scheme also will include gardens, landscaping, a community orchard, parking and 4.7 acres of public open space in the form of a pocket park.
The project has received planning permission and allows for the demolition of existing buildings on the site, such as residential property, outbuildings and a clay pigeon-shoot facility, before the development of the new homes.
