Jean-Guy Desjardins, founder and executive chairman of Fiera Capital Corp., an independent asset-management firm, has returned as CEO.
Desjardins succeeds Jean-Philippe Lemay, who served as global president and CEO at Fiera Capital. Lemay joined Fiera Capital in 2010 and held various positions, including president and COO of the Canadian division from 2017 to March 2020.
“We thank Jean-Philippe Lemay for his service to the company,” said David Shaw, lead director of Fiera Capital’s board of directors. “The board has concluded that as the asset-management industry continues to deal with complex macro-economic challenges, Jean-Guy Desjardins is uniquely qualified to lead Fiera Capital through this period.”
