Kotak Investment Advisors, ADIA form $590m platform focused on India’s office market

Kotak Investment Advisors has joined with a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) to launch a $590 million real estate investment platform, focused on office assets in India.

The fund will focus on the top six Indian property markets of Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi-NCR, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai.

With this, Kotak Investment Advisors now has closed its 12th real estate fund for investments in office assets in India, bringing the amount raised, managed or advised under its real estate fund series to more than $2.8 billion.

“This is our 12th real estate Fund and extends our successful relationship with ADIA,” said Vikas Chimakurthy, CEO of Kotak Realty Fund. “With the closure of this fund, we have raised around $1 billion in real estate in the last one year.
