CBRE Global Investors has closed CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. Value 9, its largest value-added fund to date, and its co-investment vehicles with $2.3 billion in equity commitments.
The fundraise was backed by 23 institutional investors in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. Value 9 exceeded its capital-raising target of $2 billion. The fund and its co-investment vehicles are expected to have total purchasing power of $5.6 billion, including leverage, and have already invested or committed some $1.2 billion (22 percent) in 12 high-quality, primarily newly built logistics, residential and office assets in resilient, research-favored markets.
The fund is a continuation of the firm’s flagship Strategic Partners U.S. enhanced return program, which has historically outperformed during periods of market resets. Since its inception, the program has raised $11.8 billion in equity in 15 funds and co-investment vehicles.
