IREI has learned that the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County (Tenn.) Employee Benefit Trust Fund has committed $30 million to Centerbridge Partners Real Estate Fund II.
Centerbridge Partners Real Estate Fund II, managed by Centerbridge Partners, had raised more than $605 million for the fund in early June, against a target of $2 billion. According to a filing with the SEC, 46 investors have backed the fund to date, which will invest in real estate assets in the United States.
The first fund in the series, Centerbridge Partners Real Estate Fund, closed in March 2019 with $894 million in capital commitments, against a target of $1 billion.
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County could not be reached to comment on its investment activity at the time of publication.
