Slate Asset Management announced that Matt Edgar has been appointed to the newly created role of chief technology officer, based in Slate’s London office.
Edgar’s new position includes oversight of Slate’s proprietary cloud-based asset management and transaction software, ensuring transparent connectivity between Slate’s international offices, and further integrating data science, machine learning and process automation into Slate’s existing technology stack.
Edgar has more than a decade’s experience developing and managing software applications. Previously, Edgar worked in United Technologies’ Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Space division, where he built secure applications for gathering and distributing intelligence across platforms. Edgar holds a master’s degree in integrated mechanical and electrical engineering from the University of Bath.
