by Kali Persall

The $925 million Imperial County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement System (ICERS) has made a $10 million follow-on commitment to American Strategic Value Realty Fund, a value-added, open-end real estate fund managed by American Realty Advisors.

The fund opened in 2009 and is seeking to invest in office, retail, industrial, multifamily and other properties that are located in selected markets throughout the United States.

ICERS previously invested $30 million in the fund in 2017, marking the pension fund’s first commitment to a fund managed by American Realty Advisors.

Investors in American Strategic Value Realty Fund include corporate pension funds, public pension funds and Taft-Hartley/multiemployer plans.

ICERS could not be reached to comment on its investment activity at the time of publication.
