Baumont Real Estate Capital has held the final closing of its debut private equity real estate fund, Baumont Real Estate One SCSp, raising €337 million ($380 million), including €25 million ($28 million) of co-investment capital.
The fund exceeded its target of €250 million ($281 million) and was oversubscribed at the hard cap, closing on seven institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, fund of funds, endowments, and pension and life insurance companies from Europe, the United States and Asia.
The fund will acquire real estate in Western Europe, with a focus on France and the United Kingdom.
The fund has already deployed €50 million ($56 million), acquiring two office assets, representing a total deal value of approximately €125 million ($140 million).
Baumont is an independent real estate private equity firm formed in 2017 to invest in value creation and arbitrage opportunities.
