Macquarie Group has appointed Shemara Wikramanayake to CEO, the first female CEO at the firm.
She will succeed Nicholas Moore, who is retiring after 10 years of service.
Wikramanayake joined Macquarie in 1987 and currently is the head of its asset management arm.
