by Andrea Zander

Garbe and Nixdorf form new property investment management company German firms Garbe and Nixdorf Holding have formed a new real estate investment management company, Garbe Institutional Capital (GAIN Capital).

Anton Tjoonk, former fund manager of European Residential at Bouwfonds, is the new head of residential real estate investment from the beginning of May, and Michiel Dubois, former managing director of residential at Bouwfonds, will become the new managing director of GAIN Capital on June 1.

GAIN Capital will be active as investment managers in all property market sectors excluding industrial and logistics property. In the initial phase, the focus will be on residential investment.

“The establishment of GAIN Capital is a further step in the development of our property platform,” said Christopher Garbe, CEO of Garbe and Nixdorf Holding. “Garbe companies have been successfully developing property in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors for over five decades, and for the last 15 years have been successfully managing institutional capital. It is therefore a natural progression to offer investment and asset management in other sectors in addition to industrial and logistics property. It enables us to use the synergies of our overall property platform.”
