Equus Capital holds $160m first close for real estate fund

Equus Capital Partners has held a $160 million first close for Equus Investment Partnership XI, just shy of half way to the firm’s $350 million fundraising target, according to IREI’s FundTracker database. The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts.

Equus Investment Partnership XI is a value-added real estate fund. It is being marketed under a private placement offering and seeks a mix of approximately 40 percent multifamily, 40 percent office, and 20 percent industrial and retail properties across the United States. The fund launched in 2017.

The fund’s predecessor, Equus Investment Partnership X, held a $361 million final close in December 2016, exceeding the equity fundraising target of $300 million.
