Wellington-Altus, an investment dealer and broker, has appointed James Virgo as senior vice president and CIO of Wellington-Altus Private Wealth.
Responsible for the development and launch of independent adviser solutions, Virgo will lead the growth of private wealth at Wellington-Altus. Virgo has been with Wellington-Altus for more than three years, where he most recently served as co-CIO, head of multi-asset income solutions – independent adviser solutions.
Before joining Wellington-Altus, Virgo served as supervising portfolio manager of CI Financial for one year, partner of private wealth management leader at Mercer for more than a year and vice president, national lead at MD Private Investment Counsel for 10 years.
