Utility-scale corporate solar to be a bigger market than onsite corporate solar

Offsite corporate procurement will become the largest source of business-led solar procurement in the United States next year, reported Wood Mackenzie Power and Renewables.

In the solar industry, businesses can choose to install solar projects directly on their property (onsite installations) or sign deals for solar power from larger, utility-scale projects (offsite installations). To date, 70 percent of cumulative commercial and industrial solar installations have been onsite. But starting next year, offsite corporate procurement will surpass onsite procurement in the United States.
