U.S.-China trade war rattles agribusinesses

by Andrea Zander

U.S.-China trade war has shaken agricultural markets, creating volatility, reported Reuters.

But Archer Daniels Midland Co., Bunge Ltd., Cargill Inc. and Louis Dreyfus Co., the so-called ABCDs of grain, are expected to not deliver the profit windfall promised by company executives, investors and analysts said. Investors had expected these international grain traders to benefit from market volatility and shifts in global grain flows resulting from a trade war between the world’s two largest economies.

Reuters reported that the two governments have started to outline a plan to end the seven-month trade war.
