The Opus Group starts construction on University of Kansas student housing project

Minneapolis-based developer The Opus Group has broken ground on a new student housing project near the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kan. The project is a joint venture between Opus and The McKinney Fund & Company, with construction financing provided by Central Bank of St. Louis and Central Bank of the Midwest. The building will include 120 residential units accommodating 312 residents, as well as 8,200 square feet of retail. 

The project is located on 23rd Street, just minutes from the University of Kansas campus. Construction will be completed by July 2020, prior to the start of the fall academic semester.

The building’s indoor amenities will include a fitness center, spa with sauna, club room, game room, private and group study spaces, and a podcast booth. The outdoor amenities will include a prominent
