New research by Arizton reveals the Southeast Asia data center market is poised for growth, with more than $1.5 billion investments to be made in Indonesia alone by 2025.
According to the report, Data Center Market in Southeast Asia — Industry Outlook and Forecast 2020–2025, the overall market in Southeast Asia is expected to see a compound annual growth rate of 6 percent during the forecast period.
This growth will be attributed to investments in more than 20 data center projects via M&A activities and joint ventures by both new and existing operators.
Hyperscale data center investments will become more prominent, with investments expected in the physical cloud infrastructure by Google, AWS, Microsoft and Alibaba.
