Simon Quick Advisors, an independent, employee-owned wealth management and multi-family office firm, has announced that Justin Duke has joined the firm’s Dallas office as managing director, client adviser. Duke joins colleagues Nate Ohlinger, Shei Unger, Ryan Moffett, Gregory Chappell and Christian Yoss as part of Simon Quick’s continued growth in the Dallas market.
Duke’s move reflects a long-running trend in the wealth management industry, as experienced advisers continue to leave large banks and wirehouses in favor of independent, fiduciary-focused firms. According to Cerulli Associates data, as reported by AdvisorHub, independent and hybrid registered investment advisers have grown at annualized rates of more than 10 percent for the past decade, now managing more than a quarter of industry assets, a shift driven largely by advisers’ desire for greater autonomy and a platform built around client needs rather than institutional targets.
