As private market investments gain traction, registered investment advisers (RIA) are proving to be one of the fastest growing channels regarding assets under management, according to Wealth Management.
“The RIA channel is actually the fastest growing pool of capital that we have at the firm from a year-over-year percentage basis,” said Matthew Magill, director of global wealth solutions and head of RIA and bank trust at KKR, said in a statement. “It’s quite exciting to see the continued adoption of private markets from the wealth community.”
New challenges are arising as the private market gains attention, including finding the appropriate structures and technologies to navigate this emerging asset class. Some advisers simply lack interest in private market options, due to the lack of awareness and comfort with the emerging opportunity.
