Real estate investing startup partners with Goldman Sachs

by Andrea Zander

New York–based real estate investment company Cadre has partnered with Goldman Sachs Group, which invested $250 million in properties through Cadre’s platform.

The close represents the start of an ongoing strategic partnership between Cadre and Goldman that will allow Goldman’s clients to invest in a broad-based portfolio of U.S. income-producing commercial real estate assets.

Cadre buys into commercial properties and then puts small stakes up for sale on its members-only platform for wealthy, accredited investors.

Cadre has closed on roughly $1 billion in total transaction value to date.
