Prime Data Centers to build one of Chicago’s largest data center campuses

by Kali Persall

Prime Data Centers is expanding its presence into the Midwest market with the development of a 750,000-square-foot, 150-megawatt data center campus.

Located in Elk Grove Village, Ill., the campus is expected to house three tri-level facilities and will be one of the largest data center campuses in the Chicago-O’Hare market, upon completion.

Prime Data Centers has four strategic locations across California, in addition to this location, and is expanding its global footprint with active projects in the United States and Europe.

“This rare project will enable hyperscalers, large enterprises and retail colocation providers to meet the growing capacity demands,” said Jeff Barber, EVP of sales and business development at Prime Data Centers. “In addition, it helps Elk Grove Village solidify its competitive position as a premier data center destination.”
