Prairie Wealth Advisors, a registered investment adviser (RIA) providing families with personalized investment management and wealth planning, has announced the hire of Mike Finnegan as chief investment officer (CIO). Finnegan will help shape and steward Prairie Wealth’s investment philosophy, guide portfolio strategy across the client spectrum, and strengthen the firm’s manager research and due diligence capabilities. He will be based in Omaha, Neb.
Finnegan brings more than three decades of industry experience in asset allocation, portfolio construction and manager research and investment leadership. He previously held senior leadership roles at ManchesterStory Fund Management, Guggenheim Investment Management and Principal Financial Group, where his responsibilities involved leading investment teams, building manager platforms and overseeing multi-asset investment strategies.
