Morgan Stanley is planning to cut hundreds of jobs in its wealth management unit, according to The Wall Street Journal, which first reported the story, and other media outlets.
The cuts will impact less than 1 percent of the division’s employees.
The layoffs are being implemented due to redundancies that arose from the $13 billion acquisition of E*Trade in 2020, sources told The Journal.
