Modern Wealth Management and its director of investments, Stephen Tuckwood, are seeing robust opportunities in alternative vehicles in the infrastructure and private debt sectors, according to a recent article and interview with Citywire.
Tuckwood told Citywire that he values interval funds based around infrastructure in part because of the protection they offer against inflation and broad economic slumps.
Meanwhile, those looking to secure debt in today’s economic environment are having to make due with high interest rates, which can mean high yields for those who can offer such deals on the private market.
Tuckwood said to Citywire that he is anticipating the Fed to hold to its “higher for longer”’ messaging for longer than the market seems to be expecting, which means that higher yields in the private market space may stay around for a while.
