Modera Wealth Management, a fee-only wealth management firm for individuals, families, business owners and nonprofit institutions, has announced a transaction with RS Crum that establishes bicoastal operations and creates new growth opportunities.
Founded in 1976 as one of the country’s first fee-only financial planning firms, Newport Beach, Calif.–based RS Crum serves more than 250 households. The team of nine will join Modera, including firm leaders Mark Rylance, Jon Theriault and Daniel Sexton, who will come in as wealth managers and principals. The transaction elevates Modera’s national platform with West Coast talent, longstanding client relationships and approximately $750 million in assets under management.
For RS Crum, joining Modera provides deep planning and investment resources, career development opportunities, operational support, access to the firm’s AI-enabled operating platform and an enduring home for the firm’s clients.
