MCR has acquired the 60-room The Chambers Hotel on Ninth Street and Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis’s historic theater district. MCR rebranded the hotel, formerly a Le Meridien, as an independent property.
Built in 1908, The Chambers Hotel is now open after being closed for nearly a year. It is located near the Target Center, one of the world’s top arenas visited by 1 million people per year.
The Chambers has more than 12,500 square feet of event space — including a lush courtyard with a fire pit overlooking Hennepin Avenue, a blank-canvas gallery that awaits creative touches, a boardroom with expert audiovisual services, and a 3,000-square-foot rooftop lounge. Other hotel amenities include 60 pet-friendly guestrooms and suites, a 1,100-square-foot penthouse, complimentary bikes and 24-hour fitness center.
