Macquarie Super Core Infrastructure Fund locks in €12.6b in series 2 fundraising round

Macquarie Asset Management has secured €12.6 billion ($13.1 billion) for and alongside its Super Core Infrastructure Fund from 70 pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, banks and family offices across 22 countries.

Macquarie said this marks the final close of series 2 fundraising.

Macquarie Super Core Infrastructure Fund’s long-term, yield-focused strategy targets investments in core, regulated, network infrastructure. The fund’s portfolio includes investments in Cadent, the United Kingdom’s largest gas-distribution network operator; Elenia, Finland’s second-largest electricity distribution network operator; Viesgo, an operator of electricity distribution networks in Spain; Southern Water, a water- and wastewater-network operator in the United Kingdom; Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator, the operator of the national electricity distribution network in Greece; Thyssengas, the third-largest gas-transmission system opera
