Dan Arnold, CEO at LPL Financial, had a total compensation of $16.94 million in 2023, up from the $13.75 million he made in 2022, LPL’s recent 2024 Proxy Statement shows.
The lion’s share of the compensation was in the form of stock awards ($11.9 million), with $4 million also coming from non-equity incentive plan compensation and $946,000 from Arnold’s base salary.
In the Proxy Statement, the Compensation Committee explained its reasoning for Arnold’s compensation, stating, “Mr. Arnold’s leadership of the Company in delivering solid core business results, an enhanced operating model and new business capabilities aligned to the Company’s long-term strategic vision and cultural evolution.”
