John Thiel, the former head of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, has announced the formation of Indivisible Partners, a privately owned independent advisory firm, along with several Merrill alums.
Thiel wrote on LinkedIn that Indivisible was created in response to advisers’ desire for “a different model” where a more entrepreneurial adviser could draw on the expertise of others with a long track record coaching and supporting advisers’ in growing their business. The model allows advisers to both own 100 percent of their business and gain equity ownership in a broader partnership of advisers.
In short, Indivisible seeks to help improve the quality of decisions their clients make as they balance life and money.
In addition to Merrill Lynch, Thiel’s professional experience also includes serving on the boards of Cohen & Steers Income Opportunity REIT, Florida State University, Franklin Templeton and Decker Communications, according to his LinkedIn page.
