MAI Capital Management, a registered investment adviser (RIA) focused on empowering clients to simplify, protect and grow their wealth, has announced the acquisition of J.W. Coons Advisors. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with an additional office in Naples, Fla., Coons Advisors serves individuals, families and charitable organizations nationwide. The firm offers customized portfolios, estate and philanthropic planning, as well as a full range of comprehensive financial planning services.
Founded in 2003 by James “Jim” W. Coons, the firm has grown steadily since inception, with client assets under management (AUM) increasing at a rapid pace. At the time of close, Coons Advisors oversees approximately $612 million in assets under management (AUM).
