Infra investor appetite turns to Germany

A new report published by international law firm CMS, in conjunction with research company Inspiratia, reveals Germany is the most attractive company for infrastructure investments, followed by the Netherlands and Singapore.

The report, titled 2019 CMS Infrastructure Index: Bridging Continents, ranked 50 countries in terms of which garnered the most attention from infrastructure investors. The report showed climate change is ingrained in Germany’s political agenda, contributing to widespread adoption of sustainability efforts, and is likely a factor in its popularity.

Overall, Europe claimed six of the top 10 countries in this year’s index, due to a plethora of 5G, renewables and electric transportation opportunities throughout the continent.
