Hull Street Energy is planning to acquire a 91.7 percent interest in a 240-megawatt natural gas-fired power generation plant in Crockett, Calif., from BlackRock's Global Energy & Power Infrastructure Fund I.
The Crockett Cogeneration provides critical generation and reliability services to the Bay Area.
Hull Street Energy said the plant will be a high-quality addition to the company’s critical power infrastructure business unit, Milepost Power, which was formed to enable the next wave of growth in the electricity industry.
Upon closing of the transaction, Hull Street Energy affiliates will own 53 power generation stations providing more than 1,200 megawatts of renewable, gas-fired, and dual-fueled generation capacity to support grid operations throughout the United States.
