Green Acre Capital has launched the Green Acre Capital Fund II, which is exclusively dedicated to making investments in the cannabis industry. This is the second cannabis fund in the GAC umbrella, and it follows Green Acre Capital Fund I, a $25 million fund with a focus on ancillary Canadian opportunities, which launched in 2017.
The fund’s strategy is to invest in early and growth stage private companies that are well positioned to grow rapidly in the burgeoning global cannabis industry.
GAC has received lead investment commitments totaling more than $35 million from Aphria, York Plains Investment Corp., W. Brett Wilson, E. Craig Lothian, and several other high-net-worth investors.
