Global investment activity stays subdued in Q4, says CBRE

Global commercial real estate investment volume fell by 37 percent year-over-year in fourth quarter 2023 to $157 billion, according to CBRE Research. The 2023 annual volume fell by 47 percent year-over-year to $647 billion.

Investment volume fell across all regions year-over-year in the fourth quarter: by 42 percent in the Americas, 24 percent in Europe and 37 percent in Asia Pacific. For the year, volume fell by 50 percent in the Americas, 46 percent in Europe and 29 percent in Asia Pacific.

All commercial real estate sectors recorded year-over-year the fourth quarter and annual declines in volume.
