Carolyn Barnette has joined Freestone Capital Management as a managing director on its investment team.
In her role, Barnette will draw on perspectives from across the investment team to shape and deliver timely market and portfolio insights for client advisers. She will develop commentary and resources that support client conversations about the markets, portfolio positioning and performance, and investment opportunities across asset classes.
Prior to joining Freestone, Barnette spent 13 years at BlackRock, most recently serving as head of market and portfolio insights for U.S. wealth. Previously, she led BlackRock’s metro portfolio consulting team, working directly with advisory teams to construct and refine model portfolios.
