EQT Infrastructure V and EQT Infrastructure IV have agreed to co-invest in EdgeConneX, a data center platform offering a combination of hyperscale and edge data centers.
Earlier this month, EdgeConneX agreed to acquire Global Data Center, an Israel-based data center operator, expanding its global footprint to the Middle Eastern region.
EQT Infrastructure IV first invested in the company in November 2020. Since then, EQT has identified additional growth and development opportunities, such as winning additional customer contracts, expanding the business’ footprint through a proactive build approach in key markets and pursuing accretive M&A.
