DTE Energy proposes $1.7b plan to double renewable energy capacity in Michigan

by Andrea Zander

DTE Energy Co. has proposed its 2018 Renewable Energy Plan to the Michigan Public Service Commission.
The plan includes $1.7 billion in investments and would increase DTE's renewable energy capacity by 2022 from 1,000 megawatts to 2,000 megawatts — to power more than 800,000 homes from new wind and solar projects. DTE’s proposal includes bringing the Pine River and Polaris wind parks on line, and building two additional wind parks in 2021 and 2022.
