Dauntless Capital Partners has acquired two Washington, D.C., hotels from Douglas Development for $152 million.
The hotels are the 200-room Moxy Washington, located at 1011 K Street NW, and the 143-room Courtyard by Marriott Washington, located at 733 N St. NW.
Douglas Development broke ground on Moxy Washington in 2016, building the hotel from the ground up. The Moxy opened in November 2018, serving the city’s younger community and travelers. The sales price was $86 million.
And Douglas Development acquired the Marriott Washington as a 99-room Kimpton Hotel from Pebblebrook Hotel Trust in November 2019 and redeveloped the property wall to wall. The Courtyard opened in November as a 143-key hotel.
