Commercial real estate remains attractive in 2025

Commercial real estate (CRE) is proving to be a popular asset class in 2025, according to a survey from CBRE. With seven in 10 investors looking to buy an increased amount of CRE, capital is steadily flowing to real estate.

Multifamily and industrial assets are leading the way for property types, as the sectors grow strong resilience and continue producing new construction. Financial costs remain elevated, but strong demand in both sectors positions them healthily in the coming year.

Build-to-rent also shows signs of growth in 2025, as market tailwinds point to strong demand, economic growth and consumer preferences. While investors remain hesitant about interest rates, cost of construction and tariffs, the sector is seeing a minimizing vacancy rate.
