Clarion Partners, a U.S. real estate investment manager and one of the largest owners and operators of logistics properties in the United States, is launching a new team dedicated to optimizing Clarion’s power and energy strategy across its large-scale industrial real estate portfolio. Through this work, Clarion expects to secure appropriate levels of power for existing and prospective tenants, optimize energy infrastructure and operating costs across the portfolio, and monetize power availability as a source of leasing, development and asset value.
Given its broad market insight, development activity and vast tenant relationships, Clarion is witnessing firsthand the rapidly growing demand for electricity driven by data centers, advanced manufacturing, electrification and other power-intensive uses. As a result, power availability, grid capacity, infrastructure investment and energy costs are becoming increasingly important for industrial properties and businesses.
