Christopher Schelling has joined Aksia, an alternative investments firm, as a managing director, as of May 12.
Coming from more than five years in the high-net-worth space, Schelling will create research and content for wealth, build the Aksia brand, network with registered investment advisers, and dive into alternative investments with the firm.
Schelling has more than two decades of experience in the alternatives industry, as he served as director of private equity for more than five years at Texas Municipal Retirement, chief investment strategist and director of alternative investments for more than a year at Venturi Private Wealth and managing director of private investments for almost two years at Caprock.
Schelling holds an MS in financial markets from the Illinois Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA in finance and accounting and a BS in psychology from the University of Illinois
