Chicago developer breaks ground on industrial facility in Atlanta’s Airport submarket

by Kali Persall

Dayton Street Partners, a Chicago-based commercial real estate developer, is planning the development of an 180,300-square-foot industrial facility in Atlanta’s Airport submarket.

The developer recently acquired the 12-acre site for an undisclosed amount.

Dayton Street Partners has commenced construction on the Rock Hill Distribution Center at the site. Once complete, the facility will include 32-foot clear building heights, a high dock door count and an ESFR sprinkler system. According to Connect Atlanta, these modern requirements are featured in less than 9 percent of the buildings in the Airport submarket.

The facility is expected to reach completion in third quarter 2021.
