CBRE Investment Management snaps up residential asset in Sweden

CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) has acquired a residential asset southeast of Stockholm on behalf of a fund sponsored by the firm. The seller was Aros Bostadsutveckling AB publ.

The newly developed project, which a CBRE IM acquired in a forward-commitment purchase in 2021, consists of four buildings with 104 residential units, 245 square meters (2,637 square feet) of commercial space and 52 parking spaces.

The asset is in Nacka, a thriving residential area located around 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from central Stockholm. CBRE IM said the area is undergoing extensive development.

“We are very excited to be part of the transformation of the Orminge area, and these newly developed units will provide much needed homes where there is strong demand for rental units,” said Jenny Nygren, transactions manager Nordics at CBRE IM. “Vacancy rates are generally very low in Stockholm, and by providing new homes, which we expect will be attractive to a younger genera
