Cask whiskey becoming increasingly appealing as investment

About 89 percent of investors state they are turning to alternatives to spread risk, according to new research by cask whiskey investment leader Whiskey & Wealth Club, in its 2020 Cask Whiskey Buyer Report, which surveyed 505 investors with at least $1 million to invest.

And approximately 55 percent of investors would turn to cask whiskey to hedge against economic uncertainty and spread of risk. Globally, whiskey’s popularity has soared in recent years. In 2019, the Scottish industry posted another record-breaking year of sales, growing the global market to more than $6 billion.
