Shane Clifford has joined Carlyle as managing director and head of private wealth strategy. He is based in New York City.
In this newly created role, Clifford will be responsible for growing Carlyle’s Private Wealth business across its three global business segments as the firm looks to expand its existing capabilities in this growing market. In particular, he will lead the team in identifying new investor segments, new products and capital-raising opportunities to appeal to private wealth investors globally.
Clifford brings more than 20 years’ experience in various alternative assets and financial services business development and strategy positions. Prior to joining Carlyle, he was a senior managing director at Franklin Templeton, where he was responsible for the global growth strategy and business development of their suite of alternatives offerings.
