Capital Group is joining the world of alternative assets, reports Justin Baer for The Wall Street Journal.
Partnering with KKR, the two firms are planning a series of hybrid funds that will invest in both publicly and privately traded assets.
The initial two strategies are expected to launch next year and will hold roughly 40 percent of direct and asset-based loans sourced by KKR and 60 percent of public bonds picked by Capital managers.
The target investor for the funds are mass-affluent clients who invest between $100,000 and $1 million.
